JON SATA first discovered electronic music during the height of the rave scene that ran rampant in Southern California. However it wasn't until he got a hold of his first compilation, Trance Nation, that he fell in love with the genre. He was amazed at how the seamless mixing of driving beats, tantalizing highs, and flowing melodies took the listener on an incredible journey, and it forever changed the way he viewed electronic music. Before deciding to become a dj, he collected dance tunes and played them until the media literally wore out. Later it dawned on him that he wanted to take it to another level... and what better way to share great music than to get on stage and do it? He picked up a set of 1200's and a mixer to start his journey, and hasn't looked back since. |
